Kids Martial Arts

Q: “Do Martial Arts make kids violent?”

No way! Martial arts is about peace, harmony and diplomacy. It teaches children how to AVOID fights - not pick them.

Q: “Do kids get injured in Martial Arts?”

While injuries can occur in any physical activity, including martial arts, the risk of injury in martial arts is generally very low.  Our Instructors prioritize the safety of our students and provide a well-supervised training environment. We have a lot of measures in place to keep your child perfectly safe.  In fact, safety is our #1 concern

Q: “My child isn't athletic. Can they still participate in Martial Arts, if they're not athletic?”

Absolutely. Martial Arts teaches kids to be coordinated, flexible and strong. Kids who don't naturally have these qualities develop them. Kids who do have these qualities grow them even more.

Q: “Are these Martial Arts classes fun?”

YES! Martial arts classes are not only educational but also loads of fun. Instructors use a mix of drills, games, and exercises to keep everyone engaged and eager to learn. Plus, the classes are a great way to make new friends and enjoy the experience together.

Hapkido

Q: "Will my class be in a group or 1-on-1?"

Most likely you'll be in a group class. However we gladly offer private classes for those that are interested. Feel free to ask any of our instructors for more info on private classes!

Q: "How many people are in a group class?"

At peak times, there's between 15-30. Some times have more, some less. But we make sure to have enough instructors to match the class size. That way you always get the attention you need.

Q: "Are there other beginners in the classes?”

Yes, classes are full of people of all experience levels - including total beginners.

Q: "Are there women in the classes?"

Yes! While the majority of our Hapkido students are men, there are women who come and have an awesome experience, too.

Q: "Do you offer any kind of help / guidance with nutrition and eating?”

We've researched deeply into nutrition to give all of our members powerful guidance - without making them start impossible-to-stick-to diets or anything of the sort.

Q: "Is this similar to 'cardio kickboxing'?”

No, our classes are extremely interactive, and involve real-life boxing equipment like punching bags & gloves. This is nothing like cardio kickboxing!

Fitness Kickboxing

Q: Is there contact involved in a Fitness Kickboxing class?

Our Fitness Kickboxing classes focus on technique and form, rather than contact. We use punching bags and other training equipment to help build your strength and skill.

Q: How long does it take to get good at Kickboxing?

The amount of time it takes to learn the skills of Fitness Kickboxing depends on your individual progress and commitment. Our instructors will help guide you on your journey and provide support along the way.

Q: How fit do I need to be in order to take a Fitness Kickboxing class?

Our Fitness Kickboxing classes are designed to be accessible to all levels of fitness, so no prior experience or fitness level is required to start.

Q: How much weight could I expect to lose in one month?

The amount of weight you can expect to lose in one month depends on your individual progress and commitment. Taking 2-3 classes per week, combined with a healthy diet and plenty of rest, is the most sustainable way for anyone to lose weight. It’s not unusual for members to lose between 2-10lbs in their first 30 days of taking classes, but it will ultimately depend on you.
